With over 500 brands and new drops every day, shopping on REVOLVE can feel overwhelming. The Hot List was designed to make discovery effortless — a curated space that highlights the "hottest" trends, who's wearing them, and the brands defining the moment. Our goal was to position REVOLVE as not just a retailer, but an authority on what's next in fashion. I led product design, collaborating closely with the Merchandise and Graphic Design teams to craft the experience from end-to-end.

Following launch, the Hot List exceeded expectations, driving $9.1M in projected annual revenue, $1.1M in in profit, and a 3% lift in engagement. More than a trend hub, the Hot List showed how thoughtful content architecture and visual storytelling can seamlessly guide users from discovery to action.

Visual Direction
Where We Started…
REVOLVE's visual language, especially across email and marketing touchpoints, relies heavily on a mix of flat-lay product imagery and editorial photography. It's a look that feels familar and true to the brand, so any new direction needed to build on this foundation.
Exploring New Directions…
Staying true to REVOLVE's brand, I explored a bolder, more collage-inspired visual style. Something dynamic, personal, and distinct, yet still cohesive with our existing look and feel.
Finding the Balance…
By blending collage-style visuals, trend-driven storytelling, and flexible layouts, we arrived at the final Hot List design. The result is a system that feels dynamic and editorial, yet remains easy to update and intuitive to browse as new content rolls in every few weeks.

Initial Explorations
The Building Blocks
The first step was auditing our existing page layouts, the "building blocks" of our site, to identify reusable components. By leveraging what already worked, we could design more efficiently while maintaining visual and functional consistency.
Trend Highlights
Working closely with Merchandising, we selected the trends to spotlight. I focused on how users might naturally explore them, testing different layouts and interactions that made discovery feel quick, intuitive, and visually engaging.
Collage Layouts
To bring trends to life, I established collage layout frameworks combining flat-lay products and editorial imagery. The focus was on creating visuals that felt refined and dynamic, yet flexible enough for frequent updates.
Getting Closer
Leading up to the launch, I refined the design to balance editorial storytelling with usability, ensuring the experience felt cohesive and approachable.
